NHS 3DE Magnet Expectations
Acceptance
- Commitment to four years 9-12th grade
- Because students are taking an "experience" above and beyond the normal academic curriculum, we do expect that students can maintain good grades, behavior, and attendance
- Bus transport is provided for in-district students; out of district families will need to provide their own transport
- Continued inclusion in the program means students maintain the following expectations:
- good academic standing (passing all content area courses)
- good behavior
- good attendance
3DE Pathway
- 9th grade
- regular: peer leadership (3DE case challenge experience) and American Government (blended course with 3DE case challenge experience)
- AP route: Blended course - AP Government and 3DE case challenge experience
- 10th grade
- 3DE case challenge experience during Advisement
- 11th grade
- regular: Entrpreneurship
- AP route: Blended course - AP Seminar and Entrepreneurship
- 12th grade
- regular: Senior Consultancy (3DE Capstone)
- AP route: Blended course - AP Research (AP Capstone)
- Every 3DE student is expected to complete a digital portfolio created over the four years in the program
EXIT
- Students can choose to exit the program at the end of each school year. We understand that students may change their minds and choose a different pathway. We support these choices.
- Once a student exits, they cannot re-enter.
- For the magnet designation, students must complete four years of the magnet program.
- In senior year, students will receive the following:
- a 3DE stole
- 3DE magnet seal on their diplomas
- 3DE magnet designation on their transcripts
