Summer Course Registration Deadlines
Students who wish to take a virtual course during the summer must submit their request by May 11.
Important Reminder:
Students may take up to 1.5 credits of virtual courses as part of their summer course schedule. If the course is offered through Fulton Virtual, it must be taken through that platform

Students traveling internationally during the summer will not have access to FVS. These students must register through Georgia Virtual School (GAVS) instead.

Important Information About Summer Courses
- Costs:
- Any course taken for acceleration during the summer must be paid for by the student/guardian
- Transcripts:
- All final grades, including failing grades, will be recorded on the student’s transcript
- Scheduling & Prerequisites:
- If a summer course is a graduation requirement and/or a prerequisite, it must be:
- Completed
- Final grade verified by the counselor
- If a summer course is a graduation requirement and/or a prerequisite, it must be:
- The student’s fall schedule will not be adjusted until this process is complete
- Course placement is not guaranteed and depends on availability and scheduling
NCAA Eligibility Considerations
Courses taken in non-traditional formats (such as online or distance learning) may not be approved by the NCAA.
