At Northview High School, our goal is to support every student in developing a clear and meaningful plan for life after graduation. As school counselors, we are committed to helping students explore their interests, identify their strengths, and make informed decisions about their future, whether that path leads to college, the military, the workforce, or another opportunity.

We provide a comprehensive program designed to prepare students for a wide range of post-secondary options. Through resources such as college and career visits (both in and out of school), SchooLinks, and individualized advising, students gain the tools and knowledge needed to navigate their next steps with confidence.

Top State For Talent (Previously Bridge Bill)

Georgia's Top State for Talent initiative, formerly known as the Bridge Bill, is designed to help students connect their education with meaningful career opportunities. The initiative focuses on providing students with career awareness, exploration, and planning experiences that prepare them for success after high school, whether through college, technical education, military service, or direct entry into the workforce.

Beginning in middle school and continuing through high school, students engage in career interest assessments, career exploration activities, and the development of individualized education and career plans. These experiences help students identify their strengths, interests, and goals while learning about Georgia's high-demand career pathways and workforce needs.

The Top State for Talent initiative strengthens the connection between education and career readiness by encouraging informed decision-making, promoting work-based learning opportunities, and helping students create a clear pathway toward postsecondary education and future employment. Through collaboration among schools, families, businesses, and community partners, Georgia is committed to ensuring every student is prepared for success in a rapidly changing workforce.
