UGA Application Transcript Requirements for Fulton County Students
Students applying to the University of Georgia are strongly encouraged to submit their official high school transcript through GAfutures rather than self-reporting grades in the Common Application. The GAfutures transcript is an electronic transcript sent directly from the student's Georgia high school to UGA and provides the university with an official academic record. Submitting a GAfutures transcript helps simplify the application process, reduces reporting errors, and allows UGA to review applications more efficiently. Students can request their transcript by logging into their GAfutures account and sending it to the University of Georgia.
For students attending Fulton County Schools, UGA also requires an additional copy of the student's unweighted transcript/GPA for the admissions review process. Students can download their unweighted transcript from the Student Portal by navigating to Documents > Unweighted Transcript. After submitting either the Common App or the Direct to the Institution application, students will receive a link through the UGA Application Portal where they can upload this document.
To ensure a complete application, Fulton County students should both submit their official transcript through GAfutures and upload their unweighted transcript through the UGA Portal when instructed. Families are encouraged to complete these steps well before application deadlines to allow adequate processing time.
